Marriott-Sponsored Culinary Students Graduate!
The 73rd Culinary Job Training Class at DC Central Kitchen, sponsored by the J. Willard & Alice S. Marriott Foundation with in-kind support from Marriott International
, Inc.
, celebrated the end of their program with a special graduation ceremony. Over the course of 12 weeks, the class helped produce a quarter of a million meals for social service agencies while receiving a solid culinary education and training in computer literacy, job hunting and life skills. , delivered the keynote speech at the ceremony, hosted by the Washington Marriott at Metro Center in Washington, D.C. She reminded the graduates of the commitment necessary for success as a chef. “Your classes have ended, but the learning never does,” she said.
