Community Activities:
In 2008, our office participated in the annual end-of-growing season gardening at the National Center for Children and Families in Bethesda. We were also a Corporate Chair Sponsor for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s 2008 Montgomery County Light The Night Walk. As Corporate Chair Sponsor, we hosted various fundraising events throughout the year, including a kick-off event, a cake decorating workshop and selling tickets for the Mercedes Benz raffle. Other activities in 2008 included a canned food drive for Manna Food Center in Montgomery County and a Thanksgiving basket food collection for families of at-risk children through The Reginald S. Lourie Center for Infants and Young Children.
This year, we volunteered our gardening skills at The Button Farm in cooperation with The Menare Foundation and hosted a toiletries drive for the House of Ruth, a domestic violence center in Baltimore. Our office also renewed our Corporate Chair Sponsorship for this year’s Montgomery County Light The Night Walk to benefit LLS with even more fundraising activities (i.e., kickboxing lessons, international potluck contest and candy drive). Most recently, we hosted a school supplies drive for the Kids in Need Foundation and collected approximately $800 worth of supplies for Montgomery County area schools.
