Associates are the force in front of and behind the programs, practices and initiatives:
Our cultural ambassadors initiate programs and events that
regularly bring associates together including our community activities.
The Green Team:educates associates on the company’s green practices
and promoting green initiatives at work,in our homes and in our communities.
Community Involvement: we participate in charity fundraisers and
environmental clean ups, contribute to local charities recommended by
associates monthly and give back to our community through our formal
corporate social responsibility (CSR) program.
Communication: we ensure that Host’s associates are well informed, vital
members of the community and that management is engaged and accessible.

Additional Information:
To ensure that Host’s green commitments in all areas of the company are
complementary, Host has gathered representatives from each of Host’s headquarters
departments to promote environmentally sensitive decision making while also being
sensitive to our business objectives. The Green Team is also charged with educating
associates on green practices that we adopt as a company as well as opportunities we
can take advantage of as responsible citizens in our homes and communities. In 2009,
they added a green component to our corporate management objective to reward
associates for their green efforts; and kicked off their educational initiative by creating a
blog and regularly communicating to the organization.
