Excellence In Community Service

The Corporate Volunteer Council of Montgomery County (CVC-MC) educates businesses on how to partner with and support non-profit organizations by helping create successful volunteer/charitable programs that positively impact the business, its employees and the local community.

The CVC-MC is committed to increasing corporate volunteer participation and opportunities among Montgomery County businesses. We accomplish our mission of promoting corporate volunteerism by providing a source of information, by conducting monthly educational programs and networking opportunities, and by supporting and recognizing our members' efforts (view the CVC-MC Membership Directory).

First Annual Volunteering for Business Day

The Menare Foundation at Historic Button Farm

Great Seneca State Park

Saturday May 30, 2009 9am-1pm

A Great Day had by all!  This event was a huge success with over 75 participants working together to benefit the Menare Foundation at Button Farm.

Button Farm

The weather was perfect and the work was rewarding.  By the end of the event, the garden looked perfect and a huge, fallen tree had been moved out of a clearing and in to the woods - over 100 yards!  After the work was finished, everyone enjoyed a much deserved BBQ lunch generously donated by Jim Sweet and Smokey Glen Farm.  Thanks to all who participated.  We look forward to seeing you again next year along with some new faces!
